Smugglers Adventure, Hastings, has been awarded its fifth Certificate of Excellence by the online travel review website TripAdvisor.
The popular cave attraction, located on the West Hill, is ranked among the top 10 percent of all businesses reviewed by TripAdvisor worldwide.
To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
Certificate of Excellence recipients include restaurants, accommodations and attractions that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Olivia Osborn, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive the award again and it’s great to be recognised by such a well-known organisation as TripAdvisor.
“Travel reviews are a really useful way to monitor how well you are doing as an attraction and we certainly take all comments; negative and positive extremely seriously.”
Smugglers Adventure is set in caverns and caves concealing the thrilling history of smugglers, bootleggers and warring bloodthirsty gangs.
Visitors can explore the labyrinth of secret tunnels and passages and discover the dangers and hardships faced by Sussex smugglers of the eighteenth century.
Smugglers Adventure is closed for its annual winter maintenance and will reopen on Saturday February 15th 2020.
